In terms of defense, however, he becomes very reliant on his Shoryuken, as his teleport is very slow in comparison to Akuma's, and some of his normals (especially his Crouching Medium Kick, Crouching Heavy Punch, and Crouching Heavy Kick) are not as fast as Ryu's.
